The Furniture Recycling Group, incorporating EOL Recycling, is a soft furnishing recycling company specialising in bed and mattress recycling. Our service diverts this difficult waste stream away from landfill and ensures that products are recovered through the recycling process and sanitised before being reused in UK manufacturing, serving a variety of industries. The average mattress has a volume of 23 cubic feet and with 7.5 million mattresses discarded in the UK each year the landfill space that is used is enough to fill Wembley Stadium over 5 times every year! The current method of disposal is unsustainable and very expensive with landfill tax alone increasing by £8.00 per tonne per annum. At 2013/14 rates an increase of £8.00 is 12%. The Furniture Recycling Group operates throughout the UK and will give you a sustainable and affordable solution to mattress disposal with a full audit trail and chain of custody to ensure environmental compliance. We work with a variety of customers from different sectors from Local Authorities to Hotel Chains to improve their carbon foot print and to give them a sustainable disposal outlet with future cost certainty.
