The Malaikah Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded and run entirely by college students on the belief that children with disabilities are angels, or “malaikah,” who deserve joy, care, and connection. Our mission is to give parents the respite they need while creating fun, meaningful experiences for these children through Malaikah Certified Volunteers. Our Certified Volunteers are closer in age and are able to build real, relatable friendships with kids. Volunteers not only create lifelong memories with our angels, but also join a growing network of mentors, peers, and resources that support their education, careers, and personal goals. With a student chapter at the University of Houston and a movement rooted in the spirit of kids helping kids, we are building a community where compassion meets action and where service transforms both those who give and those who receive.
