The Northern Society at the University of Cambridge exists to celebrate the culture, heritage, and community of students from the North of England. We aim to create an inclusive platform for discussion, friendship, and professional development through our termly events, formal dinners, and networking opportunities. Our work highlights the experiences of Northern students at Cambridge while promoting regional pride and mutual support across colleges. We also engage with issues of social mobility and access, working to ensure that students from state schools and underrepresented regions feel fully supported during their time at the university. Through collaborations with colleges, student organisations, and alumni networks, the Northern Society continues to strengthen the Northern voice at Cambridge, connecting students past and present while celebrating our shared identity.
