UBA America is the only sub-Saharan African bank with an operational banking license in the U.S. We're based in New York City, a global financial center and clearing hub for the U.S. Dollar. UBA America was established in 1982 as a representative office in New York and was granted a federal banking license to operate as a federal branch in 1984.
