The mayor of each municipality sits on the Council of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell and the residents of the eight municipalities contribute to the funding of the regional government through property taxes. The Main Office of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell is located in L'Orignal, in the Township of Champlain.
