Founded in 1865, Wimbledon Rugby Football Club is one of the oldest in the world, with a distinguished history, having had our captain of 1871 write the very first Laws of the game — all from his home in Wimbledon Village. Today, our reach goes beyond rugby to be at the forefront of multi-sports access in Merton, with over 150,000 people — including our 2,000 members — using our club every year. Community and inclusion are synonymous with our club.
