A non-profit 501c3 tax-exempt corporation established in 2009 dedicated to improving health and education for all people throughout the world. Incorporated in 2009, WHEN provides funding and material support to health and education projects carried out by local non-profit groups and volunteers. We support research to improve the strategy of governmental and non-governmental actors in the fields of global health and development. WHEN also serves as a conduit to move funds, materials and medicines during natural and man-made disasters to where they are needed. Our current efforts are aimed at supporting Calcutta Rescue (CR), a non-profit group serving the most underprivileged people in Kolkata and West Bengal, India. Established in 1979 by Dr. Jack Preger, CR has been serving the socially disadvantaged people in Kolkata and rural West Bengal. CR’s mission is to provide healthcare, education, and development services – free of charge, irrespective of cast, age, gender or religious belief. WHEN is the official US support group for Calcutta Rescue.
