The Write to Vote Project is an initiative that brings together people interested in the history and importance of voting rights — and in particular, in defending and advancing them through writing. The Write to Vote Project is non-partisan. Our goal is to support democracy, encourage civic engagement, and advance voting rights in the US and around the world. The Write to Vote Project began as a group of college faculty and students who were concerned about the status of voting rights in the United States. Within the first year, more than 70 faculty members at more than 50 colleges and universities joined onto the initiative. But it has grown beyond college campuses and even beyond the U.S. We gladly welcome anyone interested in participating in the Write to Vote Project or connecting with us.
