Learn more about our schools and our Opportunity 2030 strategic plan. Soddy Daisy Middle Soddy Daisy Middle School is a 6-8 school located in Soddy Daisy, TN, just north of Chattanooga.

SDMS is a smaller middle school in a very tight knit community. Our school is much like an extended family for the staff who work here. SDMS is an "open enrollment" school which means that students can choose to come here. Our top notch teachers work collaboratively to create engaging lessons. We intentionally mentor new teachers so that there is always support as teachers hone their craft.

We are looking for energetic, collaborative, and creative teachers who love to see kids learn and want to be an important "difference maker" in young adult lives.

Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection Link to full Job Descriptions What We’re Looking For: Positive, student-focused educators with strong content and classroom management skills Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities Committed to high expectations and academic achievement for all students Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Valid Tennessee teaching license in 6-8 Science, 6-12 Science OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program Compensation & Additional Info: Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.
