The role You’ll handle end-to-end wall and floor tiling across bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and outdoor spaces. Work includes set-out, substrate prep, waterproofing coordination, cutting, laying, grouting, and finishes to a premium residential standard. You’ll liaise with site supervisors and other trades to meet timelines and quality benchmarks.
Duties
- Read plans, confirm set-outs, and prepare substrates
- Cut, lay, and grout ceramic, porcelain, stone, and mosaic tiles
- Execute neat edges, mitres, trims, and movement joints
- Coordinate with waterproofers and ensure compliant finishes
- Maintain tools, keep work areas clean, and follow WHS procedures
- Inspect completed work, rectify defects, and meet handover deadlines Skills
- Strong eye for detail and finishing standards
- Confident with laser levels, set-out, and tolerances
- Proficient cutting skills (wet saws, grinders, score-and-snap)
- Sound knowledge of adhesives, grouts, membranes, and trims
- Reliable, organised, and able to work to schedule
- Clear communication with clients, supervisors, and other trades Qualifications and experience
- Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling (or equivalent), or solid trade-qualified experience
- 1+ years’ residential tiling experience preferred
