Next. Link is having an exciting position as a Senior IT Data Analyst in Brussels area, Belgium. General information:
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 12 months renewable
- Workload: full time
- Work location: Brussels area, Belgium The candidate will support the project teams in following activities, and/or perform activities themself : Data analysis
- Organization and moderating workshops with the business client in order to define their business needs.
- Analyse requests for new datasets (or new reports requiring new data), from business requirements gathering/clarification to functional analysis (including definition/clarification of business rules, data profiling, quality criteria, security rules, and source-to-target mapping)
- Build detailed design of solution for data ingestion, storage, transformation, distribution and consumption and for model automation, in line with business requirements.
- Designing the different data patrimonies and keep it coherent in the time. Data modelling
- Understand and translate business needs into conceptual and logical data models according to company standards and guidelines.
- Explaining the functional contents of the projects to the development team.
- Ensure consistency across data models and foster integration/reuse across the departments of the organisation.
- Understand the architecture, infrastructure, security requirements and set-up, data platform structure and organization, as well as the interfaces to data sources, the tools supporting automated data loads Profile:
- Language: English fluent + French fluent + Dutch fluent
- Master or Engineer in IT or in a scientific domain with IT interest OR Bachelor with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical analysis.
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Business and functional analysis
- Data modelling
- DMBOK
- Combination of technical training plus 2 years’ experience/knowledge of data application development and/or management required.
- Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft office applications including Microsoft BI Tools.
- Data querying (SQL) and analysis
- MS Azure data platform (architecture + hands-on experience)
- Informatica (or similar)
- Databricks
- Experience in data modelling.
- Understanding development life cycles.
- Data management and governance. Bonus :
- Experience in functional Enterprise modelling and Architecture
- Scheduling principles and techniques.
- Data modelling tools like Erwin.
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project activities.
- Experience in functional Enterprise modelling and Architecture.
- Knowledge of insurance processes (Life).
- Business Process Analysis.
