This role plays a crucial part in managing and optimizing their telecommunications infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

Telecommunications Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, including networks, systems, and equipment. Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of telecommunications services. Network Configuration and Optimization: Configure and optimize telecommunications networks to meet bandwidth and performance requirements.

Monitor network traffic and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement. Voice and Data Services: Manage voice and data services, including VoIP, PSTN, broadband, and other telecommunications services. Collaborate with internal teams to support the integration of voice and data technologies. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve telecommunications issues promptly, coordinating with technical support teams when necessary.

Implement preventive measures to minimize service disruptions. Vendor Management: Collaborate with telecommunications vendors to procure services, equipment, and negotiate contracts. Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements. Telecommunications Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect telecommunications infrastructure from cyber threats.

Stay informed about industry security standards and implement best practices. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of telecommunications configurations, processes, and procedures. Prepare regular reports on network performance, service availability, and usage metrics. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure telecommunications solutions align with organizational goals.

Provide technical expertise and support to other departments as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Telecommunications Specialist or similar role. In-depth knowledge of telecommunications technologies, protocols, and standards. Strong understanding of VoIP, PSTN, broadband, and data services. Fluent in English and French or Dutch.

Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting telecommunications equipment and systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.

Requirements

Master's degree in Business Engineering, Innovation, Strategy or other relevant degree. A minimum of 4 years of experience in strategy consulting, telecommunications, or a related industry. In-depth knowledge of the telecommunications sector, including technology trends and market dynamics. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills. Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling. Fluency in English Dutch and French.
