Job description
Alendei GreenRE is on a mission to power India's renewable energy revolution - delivering advanced solar panels, hybrid energy systems, and large-scale solar park solutions for homes, businesses, and industries. We're looking for an experienced and self-driven BDM to spearhead growth across Alendei GreenRE's renewable energy vertical - owning end-to-end business development from lead generation to deal closure across C&I, ground-mounted, and government solar segments.
- Build and manage a pipeline of solar project opportunities across C&I and ground-mounted segments through direct outreach, EPC referrals, land aggregators, government tenders, and industry events including MENA, Africa, and SEA prospects.
- Coordinate with the technical team to develop site assessments, energy yield estimates, and techno-commercial proposals covering ROI, payback period, and savings projections.
- Negotiate and close project mandates across CAPEX, OPEX/PPA, and RESCO models including EPC contracts and financing structures.
- Track and respond to government tenders and schemes
- PM Surya Ghar, KUSUM, MNRE, and DISCOM solar programs; liaise with state electricity boards for approvals and grid connectivity.
- Identify and onboard EPC contractors, channel partners, equipment manufacturers, and financing institutions to strengthen Alendei's project ecosystem.
- Develop market-entry strategies and local partnerships for international solar expansion; represent Alendei at renewable energy expos and global forums.
- Own quarterly revenue and MW pipeline targets; maintain CRM records and present BD reports and win/loss analyses to leadership. *Consider this your energy blueprint - the best BDMs always generate more than projected. We give you the pedestal; how many megawatts you add to it is entirely up to you.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Energy preferred) or Business. MBA in Energy Management is a plus.
- 3–6 years of BD or sales experience in solar or renewable energy with a proven track record of closing rooftop or C&I solar projects.
- Solid understanding of solar techno-commercial fundamentals - system sizing, yield simulation, IRR/payback analysis, PPA structuring, and Indian solar policy landscape (MNRE schemes, net metering, DISCOM interconnection, state-specific incentives).
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to utility-scale project BD, international solar markets (MENA, Africa), and solar financing structures (CAPEX loans, RESCO, green bonds) preferred.
- An existing network of C&I energy buyers, EPC contractors, real estate developers, and government energy departments is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of ESG mandates and corporate renewable energy purchasing trends is a plus.
