POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Must fulfill duties of all previous grades; Read blueprints; Perform plumbing work using copper crimping tools; Install plumbing fixtures; Repair faucets; Repair plumbing lines; Rough-out plumbing services; Solder, braze, etc.; Lay out jobs and assist in scheduling work; Complete finish work; Perform other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Experience and Educational Background High School Diploma and 4 years of current plumbing experience is required.
Valid driver’s license is preferred. Skills and Competencies Must possess the strength and dexterity needed to perform the job and the physical ability to move equipment as necessary; Must adhere to operational safety rules and regulations as deemed by the College; Must be able to follow directives and possess good communication skills and ability to interact with building/office occupants effectively; Must be able to work alone and with others; Must possess working plumbing knowledge; Must be able to use all hand and power tools e.
g.,: all saws, hand snakes, threading machine and hand drills and freeze kits. Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rates for this are listed below. This rate is based on the 1199 bargaining unit contract. Hiring Rate 33.34 Post Probationary Rate 33.87 Job Rate 35.28 Minimum Salary Range USD $33.
