Plan travel or exploration itineraries and arrange transportation or transportation of individuals or groups to the destination.

• Assemble and test necessary equipment and supplies, such as camping gear, rafts, life jackets, fishing gear and food.
• Guiding or escorting individuals or groups and advising on safety and emergency measures, techniques and use of equipment.
• Provides guidance for activities such as canoeing, rafting, and rock climbing.
• Advice on specific regulations such as hunting and fishing laws and boating regulations, following environmental guidelines and preventing violations.
• First aid in case of an emergency.
• Can prepare collective meals and set up camp.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED preferred.

• Experience in a similar role.
• Feel free to work with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
• Strong creative and socializing skills.
• Knowledge of specific terrain or waters, demonstrated ability in guided activity, and related permits are required to be employed in this group.
• A certificate of first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) may be required.
