Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year COSCO SHIPPING LINES (North America) Inc. is seeking a Claims Specialist to join its Commercial Division (CCD). This position will be based in New Jersey (Secaucus). The claim Specialist plays a key role in: ·Managing the company’s cargo claims portfolio, ensuring timely, accurate, and commercially sound handling of claims arising from damage, loss, delay, or other transportation-related issues. ·Conducting claim investigations, reviewing supporting documentation, assessing liability under applicable law and contractual terms, and issuing appropriate responses, including denials or settlement proposals. ·Effectively managing claims, the role directly supports cost control objectives and help minimize the company’s financial exposure. ·Coordination among internal teams, external stakeholders, insurers, and legal counsel, particularly in complex or high-value matters. ·Monitoring of deadlines, including statute of limitation considerations, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. ·Through consistent and professional claims handling, the position helps safeguards the company legal position, maintain customer relationships and contribute to continuous operational and risk management improvements.
