B2B Business Developer – Textile Recycling & Circular Economy Products Athens metropolitan area (home-based, no permanent office) Scope of the role The B2B Business Developer will be responsible for aggressively developing Tex. Cycle’s Greek market positioning and expanding customer base in Greece by acquiring new industrial and commercial clients for recycled textile products (industrial wipers, recycled fibers, textile utilization services, etc.)

The Greek market is currently underdeveloped for Tex. Cycle. The role therefore combines active new business acquisition with strategic market positioning, brand visibility development, and long-term network building in a price-sensitive and competitive environment. This is not an account management role in a mature market.

It is a ground-building role requiring resilience, persistence, and strong commercial drive. To future incumbent should be hunter-focused, field-based (80–90% field presence) where extensive travel (frequent intercity trips), direct prospecting, and physical visits are essential for success. The position is home-based in Athens as the operational base, without a permanent office.

Candidate must be able to utilize rented meeting spaces, coworking facilities, or client premises for business meetings. The role reports directly to the Country Manager. The candidate must be comfortable working independently without daily in-office supervision.

Your Responsibilities

A. New Business Acquisition (Primary Focus) Identify, prospect, and visit industrial and commercial customers across Greece. Execute structured territory coverage and visit plans with high field activity. Present technical, commercial, and sustainability value propositions of recycled textile products. Negotiate commercial terms and close contracts with new customers.

B. Account Development Grow volume and product penetration in acquired accounts. Secure long-term supply agreements and framework contracts. Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities. C. Market Intelligence Monitor competitor pricing, positioning, and market trends. Identify new segments (manufacturing, logistics, municipalities, cleaning companies, ESG-driven firms).

Provide structured feedback on customer needs and market dynamics to management. D. Market Positioning & Development Develop and execute a structured market entry and penetration strategy. Build awareness of recycled textile solutions in segments where circular economy adoption is still limited. Establish the company as a credible industrial partner in a developing and price-driven market.

Identify distribution or partnership opportunities where direct sales penetration is limited. E. Reporting & CRM Discipline Maintain CRM records of leads, visits, proposals, and forecasts. Provide weekly activity reports and monthly sales forecasts. Participate in KPI and performance reviews with the Country Manager.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications Experience Minimum 5 years of B2B field sales experience with a proven hunter profile. Higher degree, professional certification or training in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field is considered an advantage. Proven result achievement and portfolio growth.

Experience in industrial consumables, waste management, environmental services, textiles, cleaning supplies, or manufacturing strongly preferred. Experience in low-margin, price-sensitive environments is an advantage. Experience in entering or developing new territories or markets is highly valued.
