Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Product Manager to be the driving force behind our product strategy in the Netherlands market. This is a crucial role in which you will be the single point of contact for all product-related matters, from initial discussions to a successful launch. You will be responsible for defining our product lineup, understanding market needs, and ensuring our vehicles meet the expectations of our customers.

You will work closely with our central team at Chery International and our local sales and marketing teams to bring our vision to life.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the product expert for OMODA & JAECOO in the Netherlands market. Define the product roadmap, including model lineups, trim levels, options, and pricing, to maximize market share and profitability. Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct comprehensive research on the local automotive market, including consumer trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.

Use these insights to inform product decisions and identify new opportunities. User Research & Demand Insights: Conduct in-depth research among users, dealers, and other stakeholders through interviews, surveys, focus groups, and user scenario analysis. Identify local consumers' vehicle usage habits, preferences, pain points, and unmet needs.

Develop detailed user profiles and demand reports to support product definition, brand communication, and configuration optimization. Product Launch Management : Lead the end-to-end product launch process. This includes developing launch plans, coordinating with marketing and sales teams, creating product presentations, and ensuring everyone is aligned.

Training & Support : Develop and potentially deliver product training to the sales network and other internal teams to ensure a deep understanding of our vehicles' features and benefits. Performance Monitoring : Monitor product performance post-launch, analyse sales data, and gather feedback to inform future product updates and improvements.

Lead the homologation progress and coordination with certification institutions or bureau, coordinating or maintaining relationships; and responsible for new car certification (including actual testing). Responsible for laws and regulations constant monitoring. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: preferably 5+ years’ proven experience in the automobile industry and 3+ years in a similar role as a Product Manager.

Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the automotive market, including product lifecycle, market trends, and competitive landscape. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively connect with diverse stakeholders, from technical experts to sales teams. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret market data, sales figures, and consumer insights to make informed decisions.

Language: Fluency in English, Dutch is required.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
