MAIN DUTIES Reporting to the DOSM performance, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence). Site inspection for both guestrooms and meeting rooms including hotel facilities.
Up-sell, cross-sell and promote Hotel facilities & services at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue. Conduct negotiations to achieve the best profit and rates for the Hotel. Attend Hotel clients and local community business events to network and maintain high visibility. Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, attend trade shows, etc. Provides accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event/Group Management. Follow up and confirm with clients on all information pertaining to the events/group and to organize information for accurate turnover once account turns definite.
To address client requests to maximize client satisfaction while observing the hotel’s policies where appropriate. Assist with any other Sales & Marketing projects as requested. Increase in overall hotel business conversion percentage. Gains understanding of the location’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.
Prompt response to all forms of inquiries to capture additional market share. OTHER DUTIES Is knowledgeable in statutory legislation in Ambassador and industrial relations. Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming. Maintains strong, professional relationships with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels and other organizations.
Well behave at all times and positively representing the Hotel team and Minor. Responds to changes in the function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel. Reads the Hotel's Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the Hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
