SAP Technical Developer / SAP Clean Core Developer with AI Skills

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated SAP Technical Developer / SAP Clean Core Developer with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA development, Clean Core architecture, and emerging AI-driven business solutions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical foundation in SAP technologies, hands-on development experience, and the ability to work autonomously in a governed enterprise environment.

This role requires professionals who can design scalable SAP solutions, build side-by-side extensions, integrate intelligent AI capabilities, and ensure strict adherence to SAP Clean Core principles while maintaining high-quality technical documentation and governance standards.. SAP Technical Development Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP technical solutions aligned with SAP Clean Core principles.

Develop robust and scalable applications using: ABAP / ABAP Objects CDS Views (Analytical & Transactional) OData Services REST APIs SAP Fiori integrations Develop side-by-side extensions using SAP BTP and APIs without impacting SAP core stability. Perform debugging, code optimization, and performance tuning for SAP applications.

Ensure high-quality reusable coding standards and best development practices. Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. SAP Clean Core & Architecture Ensure all developments strictly follow SAP Clean Core methodology. Identify which functionalities should remain standard and where extensions are appropriate.

Avoid customizations that compromise upgradeability and system stability. Recommend best-fit architecture patterns for SAP enhancements and integrations. Participate in architecture discussions, governance reviews, and technical design workshops. SAP Cloud ALM & Governance Work extensively with SAP Cloud ALM for: Requirement management Change management Feature tracking Documentation traceability Maintain complete traceability between: Business requirements Technical implementation Testing Documentation Ensure compliance with enterprise governance and audit standards.

Support release management and deployment activities. AI / Intelligent Automation Responsibilities Contribute to AI-enabled SAP use cases including: Predictive analytics Recommendation engines Classification models Intelligent automation Anomaly detection Scoring mechanisms Participate in: Data preparation Data cleansing Data modeling AI model integration Integrate AI/ML models into SAP business processes using APIs or SAP BTP services.

Collaborate with data teams for intelligent reporting and process optimization. Support AI-driven business transformation initiatives. Analytics & Reporting Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical reports using: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) SAP Datasphere CDS/HANA-based data models Design KPI-driven reporting solutions for business stakeholders.

Optimize analytical models for performance and usability. Documentation & Process Excellence Produce high-quality technical and functional documentation. Document: Technical designs Clean Core justification AI model usage and limitations API integrations Deployment procedures Maintain development standards and reusable templates.

Proactively identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

English (Mandatory) French (Mandatory) Required Technical Skills SAP Technical Expertise Strong hands-on experience in: ABAP / ABAP OO SAP S/4HANA Development CDS Views OData Services SAP Debugging & Performance Tuning Experience with SAP APIs and integration frameworks. Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 is a plus. SAP Clean Core & Architecture Strong understanding of SAP Clean Core principles and extension strategies.

Experience in side-by-side extension development. Understanding of upgrade-safe SAP development practices. Experience working within highly governed enterprise environments. SAP Cloud ALM Practical experience with SAP Cloud ALM. Strong understanding of: Requirement traceability Documentation governance Change tracking Release lifecycle management AI / Data & Modeling Skills Good understanding of: Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning concepts Predictive analytics Data modeling Exposure to: Predictive models Classification models Recommendation engines Hands-on experience with: Python SQL Data manipulation techniques Ability to integrate AI models through APIs or SAP BTP services.

Advanced AI expertise will be considered a strong advantage. Integration & APIs Strong understanding of: REST APIs JSON SAP APIs API integrations Knowledge of: SAP CPI SAP BTP Integration Suite Middleware integrations is highly preferred. Analytics Experience working with: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) SAP Datasphere HANA-based analytical models Strong KPI and reporting mindset.

Candidate Profile 5+ years of SAP technical development experience. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent ownership mindset and accountability. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Comfortable working in structured and governed environments.

Exposure to AI/data-driven projects is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP certifications in S/4HANA, ABAP, BTP, or SAC are preferred. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience working in global or multinational project environments. Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts in SAP ecosystem is a plus.
