• Locums Coverage Period: Sep 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights), 24/7 coverage Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 109 patients per day (40k annual) Case Mix: Emergency Medicine cases, including medical and trauma FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 45 ED beds, 5 triage rooms Trauma Level: Level 3 EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics Support Staff Available: MDs, NPs/PAs, nursing staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90 days Temporary Privileges Available: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Licenses: Active Ohio medical license and DEA DEA / CDS: Active DEA required Certifications: ATLS required (ABFM/ABIM must maintain; ABEM must show past documentation) Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a high-volume ED (approximately 109 patients per day). Manage a wide range of emergency conditions, including medical, surgical, and trauma cases. Work collaboratively with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nursing staff, and specialty consultants. Participate in rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights, with weekend coverage. Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR and adhere to hospital policies and privileging requirements.
