Senior Engineering Lead (Java + Angular) The company is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Lead to drive technical excellence and lead cross-functional teams in delivering scalable, high-performance systems. This role combines hands-on engineering, architectural decision-making, and team leadership in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering squads, fostering a strong culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement. Drive the design and delivery of scalable, resilient, and high-performing systems. Contribute hands-on to the codebase using Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate) and Angular . Lead architectural discussions, balancing trade-offs between performance, quality, and delivery timelines.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA Leads, and other Engineering Leaders to align on priorities and execution strategies. Champion best practices in system design, microservices architecture, and cloud-native development . Promote Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices across teams. Support hiring, coaching, and career development of engineers.
Must-Have Qualifications 9+ years of experience in software engineering, including proven technical leadership in cross-functional teams. Strong hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate) and Angular . Solid background in system design and microservices architecture . Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) .
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and drive alignment across squads. Experience collaborating with Product, QA, and Engineering stakeholders. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices . Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written). Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience in regulated industries such as gaming, betting, or financial services .
Strong knowledge of observability, performance optimization, and risk management . Experience acting as a bar raiser for engineering standards and culture. Familiarity with Python or Bash scripting , and containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes . Experience mentoring across multiple teams or organizational levels.
