Our client is a well-established firm based in Malta, specialising in audit, accounting, and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of local and international clients. Role Overview: Our client is seeking to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented External Auditor to join their audit team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting statutory and non-statutory audits in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) while ensuring compliance with Maltese laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and perform audit assignments for a variety of clients across different industries.
- Review and analyse financial statements in accordance with IFRS and GAPSME.
- Assess internal controls, identify risks, and provide practical recommendations.
- Prepare audit documentation and reports for review by senior management or partners.
- Liaise directly with clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Stay updated on developments in auditing and accounting standards issued by the MIA and MFSA.
Requirements
- Currently working towards or holding a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 1–3+ years of experience in audit, accounting or assurance.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and Maltese financial reporting frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
