About the job
As a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist, you will play a key role in deploying and sustaining the company's strategic Opella Performance System (OPS) across the manufacturing site. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, promote Lean methodologies, and work cross-functionally to enhance operational performance, productivity, and cost efficiency.
This position combines project leadership, coaching, and data-driven decision-making to support the site's long-term operational excellence strategy.
Key responsibilities
Lead the implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement of the Opella Performance System (OPS) across the manufacturing site. Identify, develop, and implement process optimization initiatives using Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies. Define improvement project roadmaps, establish responsibilities, monitor progress, and track operational and financial KPIs.
Engage, coach, and motivate employees at all levels to adopt a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Support the budgeting and planning process through analysis of production capacity, plant performance, and productivity. Lead or actively participate in cost reduction projects while collaborating closely with Finance to monitor and improve financial performance indicators.
Deliver internal training and coaching on OPS principles, Manufacturing Excellence methodologies, and continuous improvement tools, while driving sustainable productivity improvements, reducing changeover times, and optimizing inventory levels.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related technical field. Proven experience in Manufacturing Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Operational Excellence within a production environment. Strong knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis).
Experience in leading cross-functional improvement and cost reduction projects with measurable business impact. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial KPIs and translate data into improvement actions. Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams across all organizational levels.
