Technical Consultant - Microsoft Cloud
Job description
Provide strategic technical advice and consultancy to customers across cloud, infrastructure, and workplace platforms. Analyse customer business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions. Design, price, and document infrastructure and cloud solutions aligned to architectural and security standards.
Lead and deliver complex technical implementations and infrastructure projects. Design and implement Azure environments including Cloud Adoption Framework-aligned architectures and hub-and-spoke networking models. Deliver Azure migrations, including workload assessment, planning, and execution. Implement and support Azure Virtual Desktop, including gold image management.
Design and manage Azure services including Storage Accounts (Files and Blob), Azure Backup, Azure Sync with cloud tiering, and cost management. Implement identity and access solutions using Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access (persona-based), authentication, SSO, enterprise applications, and multi-tenant organisations.
Deliver and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Defender, Secure Score, and Modern Workspace solutions. Design and manage endpoint solutions including Intune, Autopilot, application packaging, security baselines, GPOs, and Windows 11. Support fault analysis and resolution of complex escalated issues across cloud and on-prem environments.
Contribute to quotations, RFPs, and statements of work. Act as a technical lead and mentor for delivery teams. Maintain accurate time recording and achieve chargeable utilisation targets. Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including: Cloud Adoption Framework Hub and spoke architectures Azure migrations Azure Virtual Desktop Azure Storage (Files and Blob) Azure Backup and Azure Sync Cost and billing management Strong identity and security capability across Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, authentication, SSO, and enterprise applications.
Solid Microsoft 365 experience including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Defender, Secure Score, and Modern Workspace. Endpoint management experience including Intune, Autopilot, application packaging, security baselines, GPOs, and Windows 11. Strong general infrastructure skills including DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration.
Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure and cloud projects. Excellent technical documentation and communication skills. Ability to facilitate both business and technical workshops. Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Computer Science or Engineering). Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, PMP, or similar are advantageous.
