Requirements

More than 6 years’ experience in shipping environment or similar More than 2 years’ experience in sales in shipping environment Tertiary qualification in maritime studies/import, export and/or similar will be a great advantage Admin orientated Strong Interpersonal skills and handling difficult clients Portray corporate image Must be a Team Player Computer Literate in Word, Excel, Power Point, E-mail Ability to work under pressure under minimum supervision Admin orientated with high degree of accuracy Driver’s license Time Management and Stress Tolerance in an ever-changing environment Planning and organising skills Duties: Sourcing new clients Maintaining current Clients Filing and checking of SQ’s.

Application to principals for freight rates, routings, feeder space, uncleared shipments etc. Providing customers with freight rate quotations. Assisting customers with queries relating to shipments and services Communication with principals on BIZ matters Distribution of freight rate guidelines; BIZ notices, sailing schedules.

Updating client database Entertaining clients and organising client functions involved with negotiation of Tenders/Freight Contracts with clients and principals
