  • Case Mix: General Hospital Medicine, ICU Support, Neurology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, Oncology, and Gastroenterology FACILITY INFORMATION
  • No. of Beds in Department: 339 Inpatient Beds
  • ICU Beds: 36 Dedicated ICU Beds
  • EMR System: Epic with MModal
  • Specialty Backup Available: Neurology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, Oncology, Gastroenterology
  • Support Staff Available:
  • Day Coverage: 10 Physicians and 3 PA/NPs
  • Night Coverage: 2 Physicians and 1 PA/NP PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Licenses: Active Unrestricted Mississippi Medical License
  • DEA: Active DEA with Mississippi Address and Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
  • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Certifications: ACLS Required
  • Education: Completion of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency
  • Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Recent Clinical Experience
  • Case Logs: Documentation for Previous 2 Years Required
  • CME: Proof of CME Activity for Previous 2 Years Required
  • Fellowship: Preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide overnight inpatient hospitalist coverage
  • Manage hospitalized adult patients
  • Collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Respond to codes and rapid response events
  • Provide support within an open ICU environment
  • Document patient care activities in Epic
  • Deliver high-quality inpatient care
