Job Description Business: PPS Department: SCM Location: Kurla Travel: Medium KEY STAKEHOLDERS > INTERNAL : Corporate Project, Engineering, Production, Finance, Operational Excellence, Quality, legal KEY STAKEHOLDERS > EXTERNAL: Suppliers, Contractors, Consultants REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports to HEAD CAPEX Procurement ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Civil / Chemical/ Electrical) degree from a reputed institute.
MBA/PGDBM or Any Post Graduation would be added advantage RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: ·15-20 years in a good organization in any of the following industries: o. Pharma oFMCG o. Chemical ·Should have handled Capital procurement activity independently o. Strategic Sourcing and execute Capex procurement strategies: Align procurement plans with business objectives to ensure effective capital expenditure management.
o. Supplier and contractor selection: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and contractors for major capital projects, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards. o. Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and service providers to foster collaboration and ensure project success.
o. Performance monitoring: Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery timelines, addressing any issues promptly. o. Risk assessment and mitigation: Implement supplier risk assessment and mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions and ensure project continuity. o. Supplier development: Drive supplier development initiatives for continuous improvement and innovation, enhancing overall project outcomes.
o. Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of Capex projects. o. Procurement expertise: Provide procurement expertise for capital projects, including construction, equipment purchases, and facility expansions. o. Budget management: Manage procurement budgets and report on cost savings, spend analytics, and project timelines to ensure financial objectives are met.
o. Compliance assurance: Ensure procurement compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability goals. o. Best practices implementation: Implement best-in-class procurement practices to ensure transparency, efficiency, and ethical sourcing. o. Regulatory compliance: Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements related to Capex investments.
o. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and industry developments to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for strategic advantage. Competencies o Should have handled Capex procurement for API, Formulation & Chemicals facilities in Pharma industry (Annual Spend Volume Rs. 500-700 Crore) o. Exposure in pharma process equipment, Utility equipment’s & contracts (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC etc.)
o. Data Analytics o. Sound reporting and presentation skills o. Experience in working across complex Service & Supply agreements ( Domestic & International) o. Demonstrated success in negotiating with Vendors o. Clear communication skills, both verbally and in written format. o. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, Good in MS Excel o.
Ability to influence key stakeholders Essential Qualification Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Civil / Chemical/ Electrical) degree from a reputed institute. MBA/PGDBM or Any Post Graduation would be added advantage. Full time
