HSE and Compliance Supervisor
Job description
The HSE & Compliance Supervisor leads all efforts to enhance safety across the organization. This role reviews and approves subcontractors’ safety plans, verifies that injury logs and reports are completed and submitted to relevant government agencies, and monitors adherence to HSE regulations and standards. The HSE & Compliance Supervisor develops and implements HSE policies and procedures, manages incident reports and investigations, and maintains records of compliance and safety audits.
Responsibilities
also include coordinating and participating in investigations of accidents and near misses, analyzing incidents, and recommending corrective actions. The role ensures regular emergency exercises and drills are conducted, maintains records of drills, and provides recommendations to improve emergency response. The HSE & Compliance Supervisor supervises inspections of firefighting, safety, and emergency response equipment, ensures HSE inductions for operations, contractors, and site visitors, and prepares monthly HSE reports, statistics, and presentations for the HSE Manager.
Requirements
NEBOSH or IOSH certification. Experience with HSE and ISO standards, as well as other industry compliance requirements. 1–3 years of experience in HSE & Compliance roles is required. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience in the Maritime, Marine, or Oil & Gas industry is an advantage.
