We currently have an opportunity for a M ill Operator at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.

Responsibilities

Operate milling equipment at optimum levels to ensure designated quality and extraction levels Monitor regrind system and work with packaging personnel to keep the system running efficiently Maintain Master Sanitation Schedule and HACCP documentation Perform duties and responsibilities of the Grain Receiver/Loader position on an as-needed basis P roactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities Qualifications: H igh school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution Must successfully complete IAOM correspondence course in Milling Science within one year of beginning role as Mill Operator Preferred Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication, and computer skills 2+ years in manufacturing environment with wheat milling experience Mechanical ability to operate and maintain milling equipment Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: Crouch, stoop, kneel, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods Work in dusty, high heat/humidity environments and confined spaces Willing to wear a respirator as needed Make fine distinctions by sound Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually Schedule: Rotating Days Shift: Rotating, 6am-6pm & 6am-6pm Starting Pay: $20/hr
