Marine Mechanic (Ship Repair / Vessel Construction) - Caribbean

We are seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic to support ship repairs, drydock works, and vessel construction. The successful candidate will work on mechanical repairs, installations, and overhauls across a variety of vessels and shipyard projects.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain marine mechanical systems onboard and in the workshop Carry out repairs during drydock periods and alongside maintenance works Support vessel construction work including machinery installation and outfitting Perform overhauls on engines, pumps, valves, piping systems, and auxiliary equipment Work closely with machining, engineering, and electrical teams Complete job reports and support testing/commissioning activities Follow safety procedures and shipyard work standards at all times Requirements Trade qualification in Marine/Mechanical/Diesel Mechanics (or equivalent) Minimum 3–5 years experience in ship repair or marine maintenance Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure Experience in shipyard/drydock environments is an advantage
