Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Tax Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. Prepare corporation tax returns, self-assessment and partnership tax returns. Prepare and review VAT returns and MTD returns. Support clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software. Client Interaction & Compliance Liaise directly with clients to request information and resolve queries.
Liaise with HMRC regarding client matters and enquiries. Ensure accurate records are maintained and deadlines are met. Build strong relationships with clients through a professional and responsive service. General Support Assist with administrative and ad-hoc tasks as required to support the wider team. Skills & Attributes AAT Level 4 qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
Experience working within an accountancy practice is essential, with a minimum of two years' experience preferred. Candidates should be comfortable preparing accounts and tax returns with minimal supervision. Excellent attention to detail. Confident communicator with a professional and friendly manner. Experience in a client facing role.
Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload supported by the wider team. Good IT skills and familiarity with cloud accounting software. Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, TaxCalc etc. is an advantage. What’s on offer Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 per year depending on experience. Flexitime as standard to suit your needs and commitments.
