Job description

Adelphi is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to provide school-based speech and language support services to students within a school district in Wilmington, North Carolina. Under the supervision of a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist, the SLPA will implement therapy plans, provide direct student services, prepare treatment materials, document progress, and support students’ communication development.

Responsibilities

  • Implement therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP.
  • Provide individual and group therapy within the permitted scope of practice.
  • Prepare therapy materials and instructional activities.
  • Document services, attendance, and student progress.
  • Communicate student performance and concerns to the supervising SLP.
  • Support classroom communication strategies and student IEP goals.
  • Maintain therapy materials, records, and equipment.
  • Participate in supervision, training, and District-required activities.
  • Follow professional, confidentiality, and District requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
