Ambulatory clinic Tues 8-hr; potential afternoon clinic for ROP follow-ups. Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Case Mix: Pediatric ophthalmology, ROP screening and treatment Rounding: Included PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES ROP screening and treatment (laser therapy) Pediatric ophthalmology examinations JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified/Eligible in Ophthalmology Licenses: Active Florida medical license DEA / CDS: Active DEA required Experience: Residency trained in Ophthalmology; Pediatric ophthalmology experience Other Qualifications: Updated CV, Lee Health Signed Attestation DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide inpatient pediatric ophthalmology coverage, including NICU rounding for ROP screening and treatment.

Staff ambulatory pediatric ophthalmology clinic (8-hour shifts on Tuesdays, PRN Wednesdays as needed). Perform ROP treatments, such as laser therapy, and manage follow-up care. Cover physician vacations for both inpatient and outpatient pediatric ophthalmology services. Complete orientation requirements, hand hygiene demonstration, and employee health clearance prior to first shift.
