Job description
The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for procuring construction and manufacturing materials and related services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and subcontracted trade work, of the appropriate quality, at the lowest realistic price, and within acceptable time frames. This role involves close coordination with engineers, project managers, logisticians and transporters to ensure the correct materials are procured at the right time to support project timelines.
The Purchasing Agent locates suppliers, researches specifications, services, and materials, and processes purchase orders.
