Job description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated ITI Fitter to support the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of CNC machine tools and industrial equipment. The candidate will assist service engineers in mechanical assembly, machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and field service activities at customer locations while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities Assist in the installation, assembly, and commissioning of CNC machines and industrial equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance and servicing of machine tools. Support breakdown maintenance activities and help rectify mechanical issues at customer sites. Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble machine components as required.
Carry out alignment, fitting, adjustment, and replacement of machine parts. Assist service engineers during troubleshooting and repair activities. Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and technical instructions. Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and measuring instruments. Maintain service records and report completed work to the reporting manager.
Follow safety procedures and company guidelines during all service activities. Travel to customer locations for maintenance and repair work whenever required. Maintain good relationships with customers through professional conduct and timely support.
Requirements
Knowledge of mechanical fitting, assembly, and maintenance practices. Understanding of industrial machinery and machine components. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Basic knowledge of CNC machines and manufacturing equipment is preferred. Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical documents.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel for field service assignments. Team-oriented with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn. Qualification ITI in Fitter Trade (Mandatory) Additional certification in Mechanical Maintenance or Machine Tool Technology will be an added advantage. Experience 1–2 years of experience in machine maintenance, fitting, assembly, or industrial equipment servicing.
Experience in CNC machine tools, manufacturing industries, or machine tool service companies will be preferred.
