Lead Engineer - - SpringBoot, Node.JS & API
Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled, versatile Lead Engineer to join our engineering team and drive the development of robust, scalable, and secure applications across on-premises and cloud environments. This role demands deep technical expertise in modern frameworks and programming languages, a strong grasp of software engineering principles, and a proactive mindset geared toward delivering high-quality solutions that meet evolving business and supplier needs.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building full-stack applications using technologies such as Spring Boot, Node.js, React, and Next.js, and a solid foundation in Core Java and J2EE. In this role, you will not only contribute hands-on to development but also provide architecture guidance, design leadership, and technical direction, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, best practices, and long-term scalability.
As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end solution ownership, including application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architecture, quality engineering, and site reliability. You will also play a key role in release management, CI/CD pipeline development, system monitoring, and security remediation.
A strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe and Lean-Agile practices, is essential for success in this role. Candidates with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Cloud. Formation) will be especially well-positioned to thrive.
This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, contribute to process improvements, and engage in continuous learning while collaborating across technical and non-technical teams. If you're a solution-oriented developer with a passion for innovation and excellence, we’d love to hear from you. Duties & Responsibilities

- Ensure end-to-end application quality through unit testing, defect resolution, and collaboration with QA teams for functional, regression, and automation testing.
- Drive system reliability and performance by proactively troubleshooting issues and implementing observability (logging, monitoring, alerting) in partnership with SRE/DevOps teams.
- Lead release management and CI/CD practices, including pipeline development, deployment planning, execution, and documentation across all environments.
- Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, DevOps, Security, Product) to define architecture, integration patterns, and cloud strategies.
- Manage change processes using Service. Now, ensuring governance compliance and approvals for production releases.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and continuously improve application and operational processes.
- Produce high-quality technical and operational documentation.
- Apply SAFe and Agile methodologies, effectively prioritizing work and managing multiple initiatives.
