Newport Aquarium Biologist I - Penguin and Herps

A Biologist I at Newport Aquarium provides daily care for a variety of animals including penguins and reptiles. You will demonstrate a foundational understanding of aquarium science and technical skills, including strong observation, problem-solving, communication, and animal husbandry. Reporting to the Assistant Curator, the Biologist I receive guidance and development support to build competency and uphold the highest standards of animal care and exhibit quality.

Biologists, at all levels are responsible and accountable for proactive animal care, continuously assessing conditions, correcting issues before they escalate, and maintaining environments that promote health and reduce disease risk.
