Physics Teacher - Academy of the Holy Cross - Kensington Maryland

The Academy of the Holy Cross seeks a full-time Physics Teacher to join our Science Department for the 2026–2027 academic year. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity about the physical world and help students see physics to understand motion, forces, energy, systems, design, and problem-solving. This educator will primarily teach 9th-grade conceptual Physics, designing engaging, project-based learning experiences that invite students to explore phenomena, build and test ideas, analyze evidence, and connect physics concepts to everyday life. The ideal candidate will create a classroom where students develop confidence as scientific thinkers and problem-solvers.
