Job description
Braun Intertec is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Building Sciences group in the Grapevine office.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships, including project and non-project related face-to-face meetings
- Leadership of a technical or project related team
- Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects
- Develop and execute whole scopes, and prepare engineering reports giving professional opinions and practical structural engineering solutions
- Manage projects (scope, schedule, budget)
- Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards
- Mentor junior level engineering staff
- Understand and work in compliance with corporate health and safety policies
- Assist in the review of analysis of building component failures and third party review of construction documents and specifications for building envelope components.
- Support (either directing or on occasion assist) with field testing, as needed, including window water spray testing, blower door testing, thermographic (infrared) inspections and waterproofing/air barrier testing/inspections.

- Computer proficiency. AutoCAD, STAADPro or RISA 3D, other experience with structural analysis software; Bluebeam.
- Ability to walk through a project or jobsite, stoop, kneel, crawl, reach, carry, touch and climb. This can be in a combination of tightly enclosed areas, or on ladders, lifts and scaffolding. At times the job can be physically demanding and involves interior and exterior work in all weather conditions.
- Travel up to 35% of time
- Valid Driver’s License and clear driving record. Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in structural, civil, or related engineering required
- Master's degree (MS) in structural, civil, or related engineering optional
- Three or more years of civil or structural engineering experience
- Experience managing client relationships, vendor management, and leading a team preferred
