
Job description
Role Objective The Site Engineer will be responsible for on-site execution, supervision, and quality control of solar EPC projects, ensuring timely delivery in line with approved designs, safety standards, and SunShell Power’s execution protocols. Location: PAN INDIA (Travelling required as per projects need) Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute installation activities for solar projects (rooftop and ground-mounted).
- Coordinate with EPC teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth site operations.
- Ensure execution strictly as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
- Monitor civil, structural, and electrical works related to solar installations.
- Enforce site safety standards and SunShell Power’s quality and compliance protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections, measurements, and progress tracking.
- Identify and resolve on-site technical issues; escalate critical matters to the Project Manager on time.
- Maintain daily site reports, material consumption records, and manpower logs.
- Coordinate with design and procurement teams for drawings, BOQs, and timely material availability.
- Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Liaise with clients, inspectors, and local authorities as required at site level.
Requirements
Education
& Experience
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Prior experience in solar EPC projects preferred.
- Working knowledge of:
- Solar PV systems
- Modules, inverters, mounting structures, and DC/AC cabling
- Electrical systems, earthing, and safety norms
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and layouts.
- Strong coordination and on-site communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at multiple project locations.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and site reporting tools. Key Traits We Value
