Area Manager - Tool Room - Interim

Under the direct supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Tool Room Area Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the tool room employees engaged in emergency press calls, repair of metalworking dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, cutting tools, repair or modification of welding and assembly tooling. He/she uses experience and knowledge of stamping, fastened assemblies, machining, tools and/or die construction to meet MPS objectives. Coordinate, Plan, Schedule and Perform Progressive and/or Transfer equipment for new product launch. Program mechanical and/or servo presses, straightening, material shear cutting, material feed, and material transfer systems. Present monthly MOS performance metrics and continuous improvement activities.
