Job description
-Provide strategic leadership and direction for the company's operations. -Develop and implement business strategies that promote sustainable growth and profitability. -Oversee exploration, mining and mineral processing activities. Ensure compliance with -Zimbabwean mining legislation, environmental regulations and occupational health and safety standards.
-Lead the development and execution of operational and financial plans. -Identify new mining opportunities and investment prospects. -Oversee budgeting, financial performance and cost control measures. -Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, regulatory authorities, investors, suppliers and local communities.
-Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives. -Manage risk and ensure sound corporate governance practices. -Lead and mentor senior management to achieve organizational objectives. -Drive business development initiatives and strategic partnerships.
Requirements
-A Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Geology, Mineral Processing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. -A Master's Degree (MBA or related postgraduate qualification) will be an added advantage. -A minimum of 10 years' senior management experience, preferably within the mining industry.
-Strong knowledge of exploration, mining and mineral processing operations. -Sound understanding of Zimbabwe's mining laws and regulatory framework. -Excellent leadership, strategic planning and decision-making skills. -Strong financial management and business development capabilities. -Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
