Senior Sales Project Manager
Job description
This role offers the opportunity to directly support and strengthen sales strategy and partner collaboration in the Japan market. As part of the Japan Commercial Operations function, you will lead strategic initiatives, coordinate across internal and external partners, and support the execution of key projects in specialty care.
Your work will contribute to improving commercial effectiveness and delivering meaningful outcomes through innovation. Lead the planning and execution of strategic sales initiatives in line with business priorities. Drive advanced analytics, including segmentation and targeting, to deliver clear, actionable insights. Serve as a senior point of escalation, ensuring effective communication across sales teams, stakeholders, and partners.
Prepare and facilitate senior-level meetings, defining agendas and capturing key decisions for leadership. Manage cross-functional and partner projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery. Develop and coach team members while promoting high performance and continuous improvement. Identify and mitigate operational risks in collaboration with regional and global teams.
Act as a key representative in partner and external communications, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
Requirements
Have experience in pharmaceutical commercial roles within the Japan market, particularly in specialty care. Are comfortable analyzing performance metrics and translating them into insights for senior leaders. Work well across functions and with external partners to drive alignment and results. Take a proactive, structured approach to planning and execution.
Communicate clearly and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders. Are motivated by improving ways of working in a fast-moving environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or life sciences. Native-level Japanese and business-level English. 5+ years of industry experience, including at least 3 years in pharmaceutical or biotech marketing. Exposure to specialty therapeutic areas and partner-based business models is preferred. Product launch experience is an advantage.
