Performance Improvement (Senior Consultant – Director)

A global consulting firm is seeking experienced professionals to join its Performance Improvement team in Tokyo. This role focuses on helping clients solve complex business challenges, improve operational performance, drive profitability, and lead transformation initiatives in high-pressure and fast-moving environments.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse business performance and identify areas for operational and financial improvement Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction, revenue growth, and profitability enhancement Develop business models, analytics, reports, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making Work closely with senior stakeholders to drive transformation and change management initiatives Support proposal development and contribute to business development activities Deliver client-ready presentations, recommendations, and strategic insights Manage multiple workstreams in dynamic, high-stakes project environments Requirements Consulting experience within a professional services environment Native-level Japanese communication skills (written and verbal) Business-level English preferred Strong hands-on operational and business improvement experience Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities Experience working with financial modelling, performance metrics, and business analytics Ability to influence stakeholders and navigate complex organisational environments Strong presentation and client communication skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred Flexible mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments Open to occasional travel and flexible working hours when required Benefits The company is committed to creating an environment where employees can perform at their best while maintaining flexibility and work-life balance.
