CWS Workwear Slovenia is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for local statutory and IFRS-based accounting and will report to the Head of accounting for Croatia and Slovenia. Job Description: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing annual financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent communication skills, a very good command of English, and experience working with both local GAAP and IFRS.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare financial statements for group purposes
- Ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS standards
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Act as the main point of contact with auditors during the annual audit process
- Prepare monthly Vat reports
- Prepare the annual corporate income tax return
- Provide support to CFO and other members of local and regional management Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of experience in accounting
- Very good command of English and Slovenian
- Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with accounting software, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
