Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician

Poulsbo Animal Clinic is looking for a Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) who is ready to take the next step in their career and is passionate about leadership, training, and helping teams improve workflows

This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants to fully utilize their skillset with autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment. From induction through recovery, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care alongside a veterinary team that values skilled technicians.

In this position, you will take an active role in:

• Coordinating surgical and dental procedure schedules
• Calculating and preparing anesthetic medications and drug dosages
• Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients
• Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures
• Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
• Monitoring patient recovery and ongoing procedural care
• Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $33-38 per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a ** full-time ** position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed ** Monday-Friday. **

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 5+ years of veterinary technician experience

• Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington ******

• Proficiency in the following skills:

• Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring

• Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery

• Surgical assistance and aseptic technique

• Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography

• Medication administration and accurate drug calculations

• Client education and communication

• Experience training team members

• Improving workflows and implementing SOPs

• Effective teamwork and professional communication skills

**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
