Project Engineer | Civil Infrastructure (FIFO Queensland) Salary: $150,000 - $190,000 + Super (Base salary commensurate with experience) Roster: Flexible FIFO (5:2 or 14:7 depending on project needs) Benefits: All flights, camp accommodation, and meals fully covered Location: Projects across regional & remote QLD About the Company We are a premier, well-established civil contractor with a reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across regional Queensland.

From concrete floodways and bulk earthworks to complex bridges and road upgrades, we pride ourselves on industry-leading execution. Due to a strong pipeline of upcoming projects and continued business growth, we are looking for a driven Project Engineer to join our vibrant team. The Opportunity As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our regional and remote projects.

This is a diverse, hands-on role balancing site management, subcontractor coordination, financial tracking, and client relations. Your key responsibilities will include: Project Execution: Review drawings and specifications to ensure all works align perfectly with project requirements; manage daily scheduling and allocate tasks to site crews.

Quality & Safety: Conduct site inspections, maintain rigorous QA documentation (ITPs), and lead onsite WHS management, including daily pre-starts to ensure a zero-harm environment. Commercial & Admin: Take ownership of cost tracking, contract administration, docket submission, and subcontractor/staff timesheet approvals to calculate weekly cost vs.

revenue. Procurement & Tenders: Coordinate material procurement, engage subcontractors, and assist the senior team with tender preparation and project pricing. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact, building strong rapport with clients, stakeholders, and site teams to proactively solve problems and resolve issues smoothly.

What We’re Looking For We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented engineer who thrives in remote environments and takes pride in their work. To be successful, you will need: Experience: 1–5 years of experience as a Project Engineer within the civil sector. Bridge construction and road infrastructure experience is essential.

Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships across all levels (clients, subcontractors, and internal crews). Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office/Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook) for accurate cost tracking and reporting. Tickets & Licences: A current Construction White Card and a valid Driver’s Licence.
