Head of Fire Training and Quality (recruiting from Malta or abroad)

Join Malta's leading provider of specialist fire, emergency response, and industrial safety training as our new Head of Fire Training & Quality. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving excellence across training operations, quality assurance, instructor development, and client delivery. Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will ensure that training programmes consistently meet the highest professional standards while supporting the organisation's continued growth in both local and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of all fire and emergency response training operations. Oversee the successful delivery of training programmes, ensuring quality, efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Manage, mentor, and develop instructors through performance reviews, competency assessments, and ongoing professional development.

Maintain accreditation, regulatory compliance, and quality management systems while preparing for internal and external audits. Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to develop tailored training solutions that meet operational and industry requirements. Drive operational improvements, resource planning, and project execution to support business growth and service excellence.

Requirements

Extensive experience within the fire service, emergency response, industrial safety, or a related operational environment. Demonstrated leadership experience managing training teams, operational activities, and multi-disciplinary projects. Strong knowledge of recognised fire safety training standards, quality assurance frameworks, and compliance requirements.

Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead high-performing teams. Proven ability to analyse operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement practical solutions. A proactive, commercially aware, and results-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Licenses & Qualifications Qualification in Fire Service Management, Emergency Response, Occupational Health & Safety, Training & Assessment, or a related discipline. Professional certifications in quality management, auditing, project management, or leadership. Recognised instructor or assessor qualifications relevant to fire, rescue, or emergency response training.
