JOB SUMMARY
The Community Clinic LVT supports the operations of the Clemson CVM Community Clinic. This position ensures the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations, performs licensed veterinary technician duties, and provides operational support to the team of veterinary professionals in the Community Clinic. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES: 20%
- Client Relations: Collaborate with veterinarians to develop client education programs and outreach initiatives with involvement from professional veterinary students. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with community clinic and communicate with supervisor regarding escalating client issues and/or concerns as needed.

- Technical Support: Support the daily operations of the community clinic, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service. Assist the on-duty veterinarian to perform veterinary technician duties, ranging from animal restraint to assisting with medical procedures, including participation in a rotating after-hours schedule as needed. Involvement in the clinical education and hands-on training of professional veterinary students, including contributing to orientation, delivering course content, and providing guidance in areas relevant to licensed veterinary technicians. Assist veterinarians with data entry into the EMR software program, both during and outside of community clinic appointments. Maintain inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for community clinic and communicate with supervisor and/or inventory manager when inventory is low. Collaborate with the supervisor to manage community clinic operations, including scheduling appointments, responding promptly to client inquiries and emergencies.

- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Utilize quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of care in the veterinary community clinic and recommend improvements as needed. Implement, monitor, and evaluate protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, promote the safety of veterinarians, students, staff, clients, and animals. Assist supervisor with compliance with regulatory requirements, including licensing, accreditation, and record-keeping. Assist supervisor and CVM Business Office team in preparing financial reports, including revenue analysis, expense tracking, and forecasting. JOB CODE: LA20 EMPLOYEE TYPE: Regular FTE Staff Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree in animal husbandry, agriculture or a related field and experience in agricultural research or animal care that is directly related to the area of employment. Work experience in animal care or agricultural research may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Requirements: RESPONSIBILITIES: JOB KNOWLEDGE Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Not responsible for supervising employees. BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES Fiscal Responsibilities: Fiscal responsibilities for the department's budget, including but not limited to, financial planning and managing fund allocation PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Recognize or inspect visually: 50% Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself: 50% Move, transport, raise or lower 30lbs or less: 40% Perceive, observe, clarity of vision: 40% WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to bio-hazards (i.e. blood, bodily fluids): 50% WORK SCHEDULE: Standard Hours: 37.5 COMPENSATION INFORMATION: Expected Salary Range 37200 - 50000 Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

- Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
